From the recording Free Fall
I co-wrote this song with Drew Johnson, who used to play guitar with me, and Kenneth Johnson. This is a song about the rush of being in love. And how real love is like a Free Fall, total trust, that you can't take back once you jump! Though it is not a true story exactly, it is based out of my personal experience.
Lyrics
Verse 1:
You came slidin' in sideways. I hopped in we peeled out the driveway. Gravel and sparks were flyin' like a lighter 'bout to light a fuse.
Sped off to the middle of nowhere, with the thrill of getting somewhere. Losin' myself in you.
Chorus:
Caught up in rush. Heart speeds up every time that we touch.
So high, so alive, lost in the moment when you look in my eyes. There's no thinking at all. In a free fall.
Verse 2:
We're tangled up in the afterglow. Let's stay right here and not let go. Your kiss makes me lose control, and your love makes me want to go again.
Chorus:
Caught up in rush. Heart speeds up every time that we touch.
So high, so alive, lost in the moment when you look in my eyes. There's no thinking at all. In a free fall.
Bridge:
Helpless, breathless, love don't get no better than this.
Last Chorus:
Caught up in rush. Heart speeds up every time that we touch.
So high, so alive, lost in the moment when you look in my eyes. There's no thinking at all.
Caught up in rush. Heart speeds up every time we touch.
So high, so alive, lost in the moment when you look in my eyes. There's no thinking at all. In a free fall. Free fall, free fall. Free fall, Free fall.
